Along with providing jobs the ocean is the major food sour e for around 1.5 billion people. The ocean also inhabits around 3 million species and plays a huge role in regulating the global climate. Around 9 0 percent of warming and a large amount of carbon pollution has been absorbed by the ocean. Because the climate is so dependent on the ocean, as the ocean starts to get warmer, the climate gets warmer as well. For these reasons and many more the ocean needs to be protected and action needs to be taken to combat this pollution that is wrecking our ocean.
